🛡️ VPN Service Declaration — Play Store Requirement

Sanda Data Saver uses Android's VpnService API to provide its core functionality of blocking internet access for selected applications locally on your device.

Local Processing Only: The VPN runs entirely on your device. It creates a local loopback firewall (127.0.0.1) — no traffic leaves your device to a remote server.
No Data Collection: We do NOT monitor, log, collect, or share any internet traffic, browsing history, DNS queries, or packet contents.
No Remote Servers: Your traffic is never routed through external VPN servers. There are no Sanda servers. All blocking rules are enforced locally.
User Control: The VPN is used strictly to enforce the blocking rules YOU set in "Manage Blocked Apps" (9 defaults + search). You can turn it OFF anytime.
Disclosure: When you first activate Data Saver, Android shows system dialog: "Sanda Data Saver wants to set up a VPN connection..." — You must allow it for automatic blocking to work. You can revoke anytime in Settings → VPN.

📱 Health Reminders Feature — New in v1.0.16

v1.0.16 adds Health Reminders to help reduce excessive screen time on games and social media and focus on scripture reading, prayer, and constructive beneficial activities.

What it does: Every 30/60/120 min (user selectable, default 60 min) shows gentle notification with Bible verse + practical action (e.g., "🎮 Gaming Break — Close game, pray 5 min, drink water" + Psalm 46:10).
Local Only: All 20 health tips are stored locally in app (no download). No health data collected or sent.
Notifications: Uses POST_NOTIFICATIONS permission to show health reminders. You can disable in Settings → Health Reminders.
No Health Data Collection: We do NOT collect health metrics, steps, or personal health info. Tips are generic encouragement.
Beneficial Use: Designed to help Christians and families distract from addictive scrolling/gaming and focus on Jesus, family, work.

1. Data Collection & Usage — Zero Collection

Sanda Data Saver operates with strict offline-first privacy:

Zero Data Collection: We do NOT collect, monitor, track, store, or transmit your name, email, location, browsing history, contacts, network payloads, health data, or any personally identifiable information.
100% On-Device Execution: All data monitoring (PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS), app blocking (VPN), phone cleaning (storage), scheduling, and health reminders run locally on your hardware. No external databases or analytics SDKs.
No Accounts: No registration, no login, no cloud sync.
Information Processed Locally: Data usage stats, blocked apps list, cleaner cache list, health reminder preferences stay in SharedPreferences on device, never uploaded.

2. Permissions Justification — Full List for Play Store Data Safety

To ensure Play Store review success, here is complete justification for every permission in AndroidManifest.xml:

3. Data Sharing — We Do NOT Share

We do NOT sell, trade, or otherwise transfer your information to outside parties. Your data usage statistics, blocked apps list, cleaner selections, health preferences remain private on your device.
No third-party SDKs: No AdMob, no Firebase Analytics, no Facebook SDK.
No ads, no beacons.

4. Children's Privacy — COPPA Compliant

Our app does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under age 13. All processing is local. We are fully compliant with COPPA regulations. Health reminders are family-friendly with Bible verses, encouraging constructive activities.

5. Security

Since no data leaves device, security risk is minimal. Local SharedPreferences and blocked list stored in app-private storage. No internet transmission = no interception risk. We follow Android best practices for VPN and foreground service.

6. Your Choices & Controls

Turn OFF Data Saver anytime via main switch, Quick Tile, or Widget.
Disable Health Reminders: Main → Health → Toggle OFF.
Disable Notifications: Android Settings → Apps → Sanda Data Saver → Notifications → OFF.
Revoke Usage Access: Android Settings → Apps → Special Access → Usage Access → Sanda Data Saver → OFF.
Uninstall: Removes all local data (blocked list, preferences). No data retained on servers (we have none).
Auto-Start: Disable in Settings → Auto-Start on Boot OFF.

7. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy to reflect new features (e.g., Health Reminders added in v1.0.16). Effective date at top will change to August 2026. Continued use after update means acceptance. Material changes will be noted in GitHub releases.
